ESCAPEE FROM CORPORATE AMERICA: Corporate America certainly has its advantages and can be a lot of fun sometimes, but sitting there that day reading "The Timeless Way of Building", an amazing book on architecture, half hidden on my lap while listening to the predictable droning of an "instructor" in a seminar on some micro language, I was struck by the timeless wisdom and knowledge being imparted by one while the other taught the use of a mediocre software tool created by shallow minds for insipid ends which would disappear into the haze in a short time. I had spent years as a research and development engineer at HP. Before that I built high quality custom homes and had a business installing solar systems. Now that I have escaped to Panama, I am building a community by the sea. I am applying the ideas of that amazing book, my experience in custom homes and the solution driven mentality of HP R&D.
